Maritime surveillance from space

Globally-oriented competitiveness cluster PACA Marine Cluster (Pôle Mer PACA) and its partners are organising the next SeaTI-Med/Spacemar conference to be held in Toulon on September 27th and 28th 2011.

Continuing the theme of the 2010 conference, which demonstrated the importance of space remote sensing, telecommunication and navigation facilities in the field of maritime surveillance, Spacemar 2011 will mark the launch of a European and Mediterranean initiative to integrate these technologies and bring them into operational use.

SeaTI-Med/Spacemar 2011 will bring together all the key players in the maritime field to present their projects, agree on European recommendations and undertake the development of maritime surveillance solutions exploiting the opportunities of space technology.

The official cocktail party to mark the event will be held on 27th September in the impressive setting of Toulon’s Musée de la Marine. Full information on the conference is available on the website, www.seatimed.eu.
