Reorientation towards a fisheries economic

The French coastal fisheries, particularly those of Mediterranean Fisheries of ultra-fresh. This segment is generally on the high end.
For trawlers and boats of similar size and highly dependent on the evolution of oil prices, the project aims RP3E to propose alternative models in terms of gear, to better take into account market conditions and finally to increase the versatility of this type of vessel.
To do this, it is planned to test the economic potential (fuel and auction sales) generated by 3 different fishing gears: (1) pelagic trawl fitted with a fiber offers less resistance, (2) the trap or locker (3) turlutes.
Using a multivariate analysis, the project RP3E, certified in July 2009, aims to help determine the profitability of different techniques proposed above by measuring both fuel consumption, CO2 production, the nature and quantity of products harvested, and their market positioning and helping the profession to test and validate options for preparing fishing trends in the art of fishing to practices to more sustainable resource fisheries while expanding the range of products landed in auctions.
