The best of naval services in PACA
The Sea Innovation and Business Cluster intends to upgrade its regional naval industry in terms of technological innovation, economic development and services offered; all of this while ensuring efficiency.

The naval service market is driven by growing demands in terms of vessel availability and safety, the reduction of consumption and wastes, which are calling for an improvement in the performance of services and products derived.
The Pôle Mer PACA intends to valorize existing expertise in the PACA region in the framework of technology mastery: structure materials, paints, assembly, on-board smart electronic systems, diagnostics, forecasting tools, propulsion systems...
This involves expanding the service range of the PACA naval manufacturers with new skills, as preventive and curative maintenance, transport or logistics.
With the aim of meeting the challenges of the future, the cluster supports the development of innovative economic activities in the area of safety and sustainable development: consumption reduction, eco-design or eco-technologies.
High engineering standards from design to production and the perfect synergy of the different actors ensure top performance, quality and safety of vessels.
The role of the Pôle Mer PACA is to coordinate research and development projects of the community of professionals and researchers of the PACA region. Each one brings their respective competence and know-how about different sectors of naval and nautical industries. All, the merchant navy, the yachting and the French navy, want to obtain conclusive results which meet their respective goals.
In order to ensure common goals, the cluster must submit tenders resulting from its projects on markets which are appropriate for large groups as well as for SMEs.
The PACA region has an industrial base in its coastal area consisting of major companies, leading on their markets, specialized SMEs and a good number of well-known research and training centers.
